One Oclock gun Edinburgh Castle 1 O'clock

This time signal in the city is one of the favourite castle attractions. If you can time your visit to match up to the fireing gun the you will be better organised than this bit of luck. I just happened apon it by luck.

Popular rumour has it that the signal is at one and not 12 o'clock so as to cut down the number of shells required for the time signal. Very Scottish indeed.
