Good stuff: The hotel was situated so conviently for the station, shops and theatres. The hotel staff were really nice and helpful. The room was small but ideally clean and had everythinh one required for the evening
Bad stuff: The room was small but adequate all the same.
Overall: would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in the centre of things in Edinburg. The price was also very good value for money. thank you.

Guests Name: Michael Guest was travelling as: Solo business traveller
Good stuff: Freindly and helpful reception staff
Bad stuff: Beds Standard of decor Food
Overall: It is no exageration to state that the eveing meal I had in the restaraunt on Monday evening was one of the worst meals I have ever had the misfortune to be served. The meal was so abviously reheated as the roast potatoes were cold and soggy in the middle of the plate, the tinned carrots were not wamed up properly and the pork was so tough and dry it was inedible (not to mention the gongealed lump of gravy). It is an absolute scandal that you have the audacity to charge almost 10 for such inedible rubbish. I would say that it reminded me of school dinners but that would be doing dinner ladies a diservice. My room was adeqaute although the bed was terrible and lumpy and the window wouldn't close properly so was forced to suffer a draft all night. The standard of decor and maintenance at this hotel was very poor for such a prominant location. Overall my stay at the Royal British was not a pleasant one and I will certainly not be returning or recommending it to anyone. In fact if this hotel is indicative of this chain I will be avoiding it like the plague.
