A helpful and friendly 24 hour reception means you can venture out and enjoy the sights and sounds of Glasgow and return at any time you like. Before you set out be sure to indulge in our Scottish Breakfast which will set you up for a day of exploration and adventure.

Our city pays tribute to the world of art and culture in many ways - there are several museums displaying Modern Art, the history of Transport, works by McLellan, The Burrell Collection and Science Centre. A rather unique place is St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art raising awareness of the difference in cultures and belief systems. Be sure to visit the Cathedral and Necropolis where you will find the ancient burial grounds that date back to AD 612.

For a lovely afternoon out visit the People's Palace and Winter Gardens - filled with water features, sculptures, paintings, prints, photos, artefacts, film and computer interactives. Pollock House and Country Park is an impressive 18th century mansion where you will find Spanish art, antique furnishings, silverware and ceramics.

The shopping in Glasgow is the best outside of London - Buchanan Street, Sauchiehall Street and Argyle Street are the main arenas for shops. Be sure to spend time in St Enoch's Centre and Designer Exchange Square for exclusivity.

An international choice of restaurants, themed bars and clubs as well as numerous theatres make for plenty of choice for evening entertainment.

Bad stuff: Quite a small room - even though just a single.

Good stuff: My wife and I really appreciated Peter's helpfulness and good humour. We had to catch an early flight, and he cheerfully made us some breakfast, and arranged for the taxi to the airport.

Bad stuff: In second room we stayed in, we couldn't lose the drapes properly, because curtain had jumped off the railing. We also had to plug the water in for tea on the floor.
