Great value spacious rooms filled with a delightful Raj theme throughout. Located in the West End of Edinburgh an equal distance from Murrayfield rugby stadium and the Haymarket.
Rooms here are large for the cheap prices you pay. They all have a very unique Indian theme to them with which the hotel owners try to recreate the days of the Raj. Splendid four poster beds are available and the carpets and chairs will leave you feeling happy at the multicultural nature of the fine city. The wallpaper and chairs will also give you a good taste of the old Indian sub-continent for sure.
We are located in a quiet residential area of the West End of Edinburgh. 10 minutes walk to West you will find the world famous Murrayfield stadium. While 10 minutes East is Haymarket railway station where you will find many trains to Glasgow and Fife. Finally 10 minutes North will take you to the National Galleries of Scotland and all the treasures within. 20 minutes along the A8 Haymarket Road will take you through Haymarket and the West End to Princes Street.
Some of our rooms at the front have some lovely views from them. Although this is not available at the back, the rooms back here are far quieter.
There is good public transport links from us so when you arrive you do not have to use a car to get around.

Good stuff: The staff was very welcoming. Location is very good. Room size, equipments provided, size of mattress/bed, no.of drawers/cupboard is good. Bed and bedding is comfortable.
Bad stuff: Problem with sanitation/hygiene. This was a big problem. There were bugs in my bed. I was not able to sleep for long time knowing that. I found atleast a dozen or more.
Overall: I agree, I should have been more pro-active and registered my issue with the staff there. In general everything(TV, furniture, heating, lights, mattress comfort etc.) was fine up until I turned-off the lights and went to bed only to find bed-bugs, thats when it turned out to be bad but then once I was up in the morning rest all(towel, hot-water, ironing stuff, breakfast etc.) was fine again. So I guess they need to use some kinda pesticides and clean all the rooms.
