After a Continental Breakfast head in to town to do some shopping and see the sights. You can jump on a bus and be in town in minutes. Visit Edinburgh Castle, the art galleries and museums and walk the Royal Mile.
Princess Street is the place for shopping - main stream and speciality stores where you can buy those tartans, the best woollens in the world, shortbread and scones. Choose the finest whiskies and if you fancy it - Haggis.
For a really special treat - head to Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre - one of Europe's largest shopping and leisure complexes - here you will find fabulous shops, cafes for those cappuccino chats and lots of places to eat and enjoy lunches with friends as you take a breather in between shopping spurts. Visit the Royal Yacht Britannia and then a bit more shopping. In the evening - see a movie and choose a spot for dinner.
The main city is filled with bars, clubs, entertainment so there's plenty of choices and theatres to attend. New Year's Eve is a favourite event here - be sure to book ahead to secure your spot - one of the biggest street party's in the whole of Europe.
