Just a short and healthy walk from the centre of Glasgow makes this the perfect place to stay in this vibrant European city. Whatever your favourite pastime there is something for everyone here.

Shoppers delight in the pedestrianised area of Buchanan Street, Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street. Argyle Arcade is home to over 30 jewellers so no excuse not to spoil that special someone! St Enochs Shopping Centre has been newly renovated and is home to designer labels and a true cosmopolitan charm. Merchant City area is where you will find the open air market and the Italian Centre is the place to enjoy a cappuccino or leisurely lunch.

Many museums with free admission pay tribute to Transport, Science, Art, Religion and Culture. Places of interest include People's Palace and Winter Gardens, Pollock House and Country Park where you will find a display of Spanish Art, antique furniture, silverware and ceramics. McLellan galleries have some rather interesting pieces and the Science Centre, Tower and Imax are great for the kids.

Parks and the Botanical gardens give you the chance to stroll and breath in the air. Take a ride out of town and you are in the heartland of the Clyde Valley - sheer bliss.

Good stuff: the en suite.

Bad stuff: Single beds could be more comfortable. Wider. Very much moving about. Generally, hotel is adequate and good value for money. A very good breakfast buffet. I think though it could do with some refurbishment -- eg painting and decorating, new carpets etc. Everything seems a bit worn.

Overall: Fair and would probably stay again for the cut price I had which was a special February offer. However, if the rooms were the normal price of 130 per twin, I would not be happy.
