This is the Western end of this world famous street and from here you will be able to get to many other sights. You can go to the left for a further 4 minutes walk and see St Giles Cathedral. The of course at the very end there is the magnificent sight of the Castle in all it glory. In total it will take you about 10 minutes to walk there door to door.

Alternatively you might turn right along the Royal Mile for a similar distance to find the Museum of Childhood. Then continuing along this one road a host of souvenir shops and attraction which reaches a climax 13 minutes walk, just short of a mile at Holyrood. You could not get a better situation to be stopping the night in!
