Situated on the Firth of Forth / North Sea coast, the views from some of our rooms is one you will remember.
Our guest house is to be found on the promenade in the district of Portobello where Edinburgh's beach can be found. We are located very close to the coastline on the Firth of Forth / North Sea here. This means from some of our lovely rooms you get a splendid and memorable view out over the water.
There are many opportunities for various activities locally. We have a swimming pool, sport centre and golf in this vicinity. The famous Musselbrough racing track is one of the highlights of Portobello and is located 4km to the .East of us.
We are a none smoking establishment with excellent views of the Firth of Forth from some of our rooms. To get to central Edinburgh it is only a 15 minute ride on the bus. So for a combination of beach and a more cultural break Harvest Guest House caters for all needs. In this locality there are many traditional pubs and restaurants.

 Rating of 3.43 out of 5 Unique ID (99378894) Good stuff: The hotelis in a great setting right on the beach and a two minute walk from the bus into the city centre. It had a very quaint charm and the family were extremely friendly and helpful. Bad stuff: Our room was quite small and found it difficult to manuvour around each other as it was a twin room rather than a double. But I did see into the other rooms which were much bigger than ours. Overall: The hotel is about a 15 minute bus ride from the centre of Edinburgh. It overlooks the beach in Portabello which is great for blowing off the cobwebs in the morning. Mr.Sadol (the owner) was very friendly and helpful in explaining how to get to different places. Breakfast (cereal, tea, coffee) was included in the price but hot breakfast was extra. The harvest is great as a cheap and cheerful place to stay if you just need a place to crash for the night/weekend. Thanks Mr.Sadol and give our love to your wife! |
 Rating of 4.57 out of 5 Unique ID (2141713) Good stuff: Confortable accomodation, quiet room, suitable for the stay of 5 adult all toghether, wonderful sight of the see from the room, possibility to walk along the seaside. Overall: Good quality/price ratio. The zone was quiet and silent. It is wonderful to have the sea in front of the room. Good link for the centre by bus in about 20-30 min (also in the night). I recomment this accomodation to stay in Edimburgh. |

Rating of 3.43 out of 5 Unique ID (1216676) Bad stuff: no sign posting, the staff were never around when you wanted something. Toilet was in a cupboard!! Such a small bathroom, only one mirror in the whole room. Overall: Shower, although in a really small room, was lovely, really powerful!! The decor was nice and the room overall was lovely, it was just the lack of mirrors and available plug sockets (apart from those behind lockers) that was irritating. |
