Staying here put you in a lovely rooms on a gorgeous tree lines crescent. Located in the Bonnington district of Edinburgh 1 mile North of Princes Street.

Rooms here good considering the low cost. It is a budget hotel but rooms are of a reasonable size. They are kept clean and facilities are also reasonable. All in all this makes us great value for money. If you want a luxury villa you are looking at the wrong cheap hotel!

As you arrive you will start to enjoy your stay with us. The crescent we are on is lines with lovely trees which surround a garden. The line of terrace houses of which we are one were built circa 1823 by architect William Burn. You will be able to identify the Claremont from our sign outside and the fact that the sandstone on the front has been cleaned.

We are in a great spot to explore the city from about 1 mile North (17 minutes on foot) of the shoppers heaven that is Princes Street. The time to cover the distance and get there is obviously made quicker (15 minutes) with a short walk down to Leith Street. There are a number of buses that run regular from there.

However when you walk the journey you will be passing by a number of great laces that you can spend time in. So lets take that walk. Come out of the door here and turn right taking in the splendid crescent. Turn right at the end onto East Claremont Street. Follow this all the way along to its' end and turn left onto Bellevue Place. Continue strait don't follow Bellevue around the corner. The road changes name to Manfield Place continue along here. Cross over the roundabout into Broughton Street.

At the end of Broughton Street is York place turn left here and go around the roundabout. From here you will be able to see the Edinburgh Playhouse to the far left. Also the massive glass plated Omni centre home to a cinema complex, bars, casual dining restaurants and even a gym.

Leaving the roundabout on Leith Street you may just be able to catch a glimpse of St Mary's Cathedral on the right through the trees. A few steps further and you will be able to see the shopping mecca begin as you walk passed St James Shopping Centre. Follow the road to its end and then turn right onto Princes Street.
