Glasgow has the best shopping outside of London with a pedestrianised area focused around Buchanan Street, Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street, with one of Britain's oldest covered shopping Arcades - Argyle Arcade being home to over 30 jewellers. Other highlights include St Enoch Centre, the Designer Exchange Square and Princes Square - very cosmopolitan and trendy.

Over in the Italian Centre you'll find classy coffee bars where you can relax with friends and sip a latte whilst watching the world go by. Be sure to visit the De Courcy's Antique Craft Arcade and located over in the West End the Victorian Village - filled with costume jewellery and memorabilia. Good stuff: friendly and clean

Good stuff: Central location and breakfast included.

Bad stuff: Noise;- windows need updating. Furniture;- wardrobes are falling apart

Overall: This a small friendly hotel in the heart of the city and for the price it cannot be beaten. It is close to public transport systems which add to the noise but this should be accepted for being in a priveleged position. It is an old building that could do with some TLC but should be undertaken so as not to take away any of the character this hotel has.
