Whisky trails take you to the picturesque Speyside and the countryside is abundant with castles with over 70 in the region. Heritage sites stepped in history and little villages to explore.
The city centre itself has over 800 shops, restaurants and bars where you can shop 'til you drop with three main arcades - St Nicholas, Trinity and Bon Accord and for that special designer gear head to Academy Shopping Centre, you can sit in the Italian style Piazza and enjoy a cafe latte.
Museums paying tribute to Scottish history are the Art Gallery, Maritime Museum, Provost Skene's House and The Tolbooth - all with free admission and worthy of your attention.
Dining out - there are endless choices - Chinese, French, Italian, Indian, Thai, Mexican, Spanish and traditional.
