Wonderful wedding location, woodland walks, historical rose gardens and a playground for the children. Inside discover ancient shields, portraits, furniture a great hall and 16th century chapel. There's a small shop and tea rooms.
The beach is about 20 minutes from your chosen base and its worth packing a picnic and spending the day there.
If shopping is your goal then you have chosen one of the best shopping centres in Scotland - three main arcades - Trinity, St Nicholas and Bon Accord and if you are looking for that designer wear then head for the Academy Shopping Arcade. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in the Italian style Piazza and take a breather.
Museums and art galleries with free admission include Art, Maritime, Provost and Tolbooth all paying tribute to a bygone age, heritage and history.
