Good stuff: room was huge, anywhere else this would have been 3 rooms.
Bad stuff: at book in we had to go into bar to get somebody to book in. Bar was covered in glasses, they may have been busy but a cluttered bar is not a pretty site and I feel un-nessesary.Staff at breakfast should be a bit more attentive, sat down had breakfast and still waiting to get somebody to get toast, somebody should be in the eating area all the time, good breakfast though.
Overall: good, and would go back despite the small problems

Good stuff: The bar was lively but not loud, staff were friendly and helpful.
Bad stuff: As non important as it is, the doors to the rooms gave the impression that the room might be a little scruffy/cheap, although once in the room, there was no dissapointment. change the doors for heavier quality and decent handles, offer breakfast and you would be well within your rights to ask for £85 per night.
Overall: This hotel was great value. I would expect to pay £85 (with breakfast) for the standards offered..this is not a request for you to bump the price up! We had previously stayed at a popular chain hotel close by for almost double what we paid for the agenda... the agenda had much more to offer. It just lacks the inclusion of breakfast within the offer, but this is reflected in the price.

Good stuff: Very high standard of room. Good size. En-suite bathroom was useful
Bad stuff: I enjoyed all of my stay although I was slightly disappointed with the breakfast.
Overall: The only thing I could critisize was the breakfast. I asked for a sauasge roll but the roll was just a burger bun that was not all that fresh. Also, the tea and coffee was served in large urns and did not taste all that fresh. I think the tea was contaminated with coffee. My boyfriend had the full scottish breakfast and enjoyed it very much.

Good stuff: Very nice decor. Very clean. The price was very good and included well-served breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Bad stuff: You have to take a bus to town center...it's a brief ride but would have been perfect if the hotel was within walking distance from the castle. Again this is very minor, given the value and accomodations.
Overall: I picked the hotel having done very little prior reasearch. I was my first time in the city and for one night only. The accomodations were excellent however and the staff was very helpful polite and welcoming.
